This iconic Kafi, titled Meda Ishq Vi Toon Meda Yaar Vi Toon, is the definitive anthem of Wahdat-ul-Wajood (Unity of Existence) by Khwaja Ghulam Farid. In these verses, the poet collapses all worldly and religious dualities—body and soul, mosque and temple, pain and remedy—into a single Divine point. By identifying the Beloved with everything from his daily prayers to the thunder of the Rohi desert, the poet illustrates that his Murshad and the Divine are one.
